It took me forever to get the courage to bake bread. It was a mythical beast that only the most accomplished bakers could tackle. Turns out it was easy as pie. Actually, it is way easier than pie.
This is the basic bread recipe I follow to get a perfect loaf every time but I can also jazz it up from time to time with seeds or some cinnamon. Or make buns instead of bread. It is intentionally vague to accommodate whatever I have on hand. As a sweetener I prefer honey but sometimes only have white sugar and on at least one occasion I only had brown sugar! I have used olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil….just anything I have on hand at the time. I have used up to half whole wheat flour, added flax meal, and topped off the flour with some coconut flour once.
