Family Travel Tips – From an Airline Employee

After 14 years of working for an airline and 3 kids, I have learned a lot about traveling as a family. Don’t do it. You’re welcome.

Oh, you still want to do it? Fine, I will share the wisdom I have learned from all the mistakes I have made. This is a brief overview of the easiest things you can do to have a great travel experience. In the future, I will go into more depth because I could (and maybe should?!) write a book about this.

Finding Joy in Everyday Life

I find it amusing that, as a mother, I spend so much time manufacturing family moments. When I was a child and I experienced these moments, or even when I saw it on television and movies, I thought it was a natural process. Moments that were happily spontaneous and untouchable. Turns out they are touched all over by the Momma in the house. I am the architect of our memories.

Last year my (then) 9 year-old daughter and I went on a 10 day adventure to London and some surrounding areas. We had the time of our lives and wanted to share some of the things we loved in that wonderful city. Great Wolf Lodge Review

After a long winter and an even longer pregnancy my family made the decision to get away for a few days. We booked a 3 day, 2 night stay at Great Wolf Lodge and couldn’t have been more excited!

We have always wanted to go to Great Wolf Lodge but I could never justify the cost. Since we had never been there I didn’t know what the true value was. April/May seems to be their shoulder season and there was a great Spring promotion that I took advantage of.
