Last year I wrote a blog post titled “Mothers Day and a Tough Weekend”. I can laugh now because my idea of a tough time then is much different than now. Earlier this week Soren had surgery. It was a safe and routine surgery but he ended up having reactions to the anesthesia (we think)….
After having two girls I am having so much fun shopping for a little boy! My second daughter has only really worn hand me downs so I haven’t really been shopping for YEARS. Also, now that my little man is walking I can really step up his style.
Now that I have an 11 and 4-year-old I know that the time I am allowed to dress my kids is very short. In no time at all, he will express his own interests. He will be demanding orange over blue, dinosaurs over dogs, and Spiderman over Batman.
I know, I know. I have been MIA for over a week. I don’t have an excuse. Actually, that isn’t true. I have three excuses (four if you count the dog) AND I have started a summer course to upgrade for University. I have been busy, busy, busy!
Excuses aside, I am back to share a DIY recipe with you today. We cloth diaper (80% of the time) and use cloth wipes most of the time. I used to use straight up water but after purchasing the Honest Company bum wash I became spoiled. Water just can’t cut through the poop like a diaper spray can and I looove the smell. It is like aromatherapy every time I change a diaper.
May is Postpartum Depression Awareness month and we should all start to talk about it. Postpartum depression does not discriminate. It isn’t reserved for the “lesser” Mom or the one that is an all-star. It doesn’t always announce itself loudly but then again sometimes it screams it’s name. It doesn’t just effect the Mom in question, it touches everyone in her life and beyond. Postpartum depression can change a marriage, ruin a job, and destroy a person – if not handled. What is more crazy to think; postpartum depression is common. More common than you might think; someone you know and love could be suffering right now.
We have successfully named three little ones and I want to share them with you! As well I have included five names I really love but won’t be using. I have seen this tag around Youtube and thought it was cute so I wanted to play along on my blog!
